The heatwave is not yet cooking our chickens.

The Champions Chess Tour finished this week. Although the youngsters like Xiong, Erigaisi and Sevian put in strong performances, Levon Aronian won the final in style.

Olympiad talk this week involves a famous cheating scandal that may or not have involved the French team.

The Grand Chess Tour in Zagreb is up next, with Magnus Carlsen playing and Jan talking about it. He'll be joined by 1 Lawrence and 1 Laurent (no Peters).

Biel continues with Gukesh becoming the 3rd or 4th (who knows?) youngest 2700 player.

Dortmund also began this week and Jan is not happy with it!

The chicken's pre-tournament predictions came under fire from Hikaru Nakamura - will they hit back?!

Lots of FIDE talk.

Questions from you people were answered!

Finally, Chickens of the Week broke a new record, so the episode kind of ended on a high. See you next week!
